We strive for Nutrition Equity
We see improper access to adequate nutrition as a social injustice. Not having access to adequate nutrition persists for several reasons; people cannot afford to buy food, may lack basic nutrition education, or the resources they need to produce their own food. Although hunger isn’t necessarily the issue, we need to look at the deeper, root causes of nutritional health inequalities.
The Global Nutrition Report calls on governments, businesses and civil society to step up efforts to address malnutrition in all its forms and tackle injustices in food and health systems.Everyone deserves access to healthy, affordable food and quality nutrition Families want their children to eat healthy and nutritious food but junk food is often more cheaper and readily available. Nutrition education, free classes and apps about shopping and cooking healthier can change their healthy food intake.
Wellanova aims to build and support effective partnerships with a number of different organizations and trusts that require a long-term commitment to the capacity building and resourcing of communities who are in need of assistance. We need to affect change now, so that generations of healthy children can grow, learn, work and live the healthy, happy lives they deserve.
